A Lip Flip uses a very small amount of Botox injected into the orbicularis oris muscle — the muscle that controls your upper lip. When that muscle relaxes slightly, the lip curls upward and outward, creating the appearance of a fuller, more defined upper lip.

What it does not do is add volume. If your lips are thin and you want them to be noticeably fuller, a Lip Flip alone will not get you there. But if you have a lip that disappears when you smile, or you want subtle definition without added size, the Lip Flip is a beautiful option. Lip filler — most commonly Juvederm Ultra or Volbella — adds actual volume to the lips. It can define the border, add fullness to the body of the lip, correct asymmetry, and create a more balanced, youthful pout.
